South Burnett Mental Health Golf Challenge Funding Appeal

Last year saw the biggest Golf Challenge in the South Burnett.
Funds raised will go directly into mental health in the South Burnett and Cherbourg local government areas.
​
The original goal of $50k, set by the working members of the South Burnett Mental Health Golf
Challenge (SBMHGC), through hard work and advocacy well exceeded this amount to $70,000.
The South Burnett Mental Health Golf Challenge is a community-initiated financial appeal (fundraiser) being administered by Red Earth Community Foundation on behalf of the Committee.
The South Burnett Mental Health Golf Challenge aim is to raise funds to enable local organisations to tailor local support for people at risk or experiencing mental health initiatives in the South Burnett and Cherbourg local government areas.
The purpose of the South Burnett Mental Health Golf Challenge appeal is to:

Enable South Burnett & Cherbourg communities to develop and deliver local solutions for local people at risk or experiencing mental health issues or challenges.

Respond to identified local mental health challenges and needs in a practical way.

Improve accessibility to non-clinical, community-based services and inclusive mental health services and initiatives for South Burnett and Cherbourg individuals.

Strengthen local South Burnett and Cherbourg individuals, community organisations and businesses deliver or leverage services and initiatives through the distribution of the South Burnett Mental Health Golf Challenge Appeal.
